Consultation first, always
Color correction in Palm Springs is the work other salons pass on — banding, brassiness, box color, hair that's been lifted one time too many. We'll look at it honestly, tell you what's achievable, and say so if the answer is more than one appointment.

Correction is chemistry with a history. What's already in your hair decides what can safely come out of it, and no honest colorist can price that from a photograph.
So we sit down first — fifteen minutes, no charge. We look at the condition, ask what's been on it, and tell you plainly what's achievable and how many visits it takes. If the honest answer is that we should wait, or that we can get you most of the way but not all, you'll hear that too.
If what's wrong with your hair isn't on this list, ask anyway.
Fixing harsh lines, uneven tones, or color that has banded from previous at-home or salon work.
Restoring integrity and tone to hair that has been over-lightened or chemically damaged.
Neutralizing unwanted warm tones that appear after lightening — especially common in desert sun.
Safely removing at-home box color buildup to achieve a natural, professional result.
Taking hair from dark to light, or from an unwanted color to a desired target shade.
Refining existing color with a toner or gloss to achieve the right tone, depth, and shine.

Correction is billed hourly because no two are the same. You get an estimate in writing at consultation, before any work begins.

At angelajoneshair, color correction is billed from $150 per hour. Because every correction is different, we require a consultation before booking to give you an accurate estimate.
Color correction is a multi-step process that often requires multiple rounds of lightening, toning, and conditioning. It takes significantly more time and product than a standard color appointment, and it requires a high level of skill to avoid further damage.
It depends on your hair's current state and your target goal. Some corrections can be completed in one session. Others — particularly going from very dark to very light — may require 2–3 sessions spaced several weeks apart to protect hair integrity.
Yes. Color correction always requires a consultation at angelajoneshair. This allows us to assess your hair's current condition, understand your color history, and give you an honest estimate of what's achievable and how long it will take.
Yes. Box color removal and correction is one of the most common corrections we perform. It requires careful assessment of the color molecules in your hair and a methodical approach to lifting and re-toning.
Come in with clean, dry hair and bring photos of your color history if you have them. Be honest about what products and treatments you've used. The more we know, the better we can plan.
